Valentine's Day- I got up and made the kids pink waffles (Carter didn't want heart-shaped pancakes for whatever reason)! Dad took these pictures during breakfast of the kids with their valentines we made the day before.

That afternoon, Carter helped me make pink and purple heart-shaped valentine cookies! Jace and Janel were here and pretty much loved eating them as fast as I could make them!

Before Valentines, Carter and I were having a tough week. So, my solution was to give him some extra time and attention. That led to making a craft together- actually, a crocodile made out of half an eggshell carton, an empty soap box, and an empty paper towel tube. I taped and glued- (he helped where he could) and then we painted it green. It totally worked! And we were back on track, happy again! Thanks to Tanys, who does a weekly inventive adorable craft with her kids and inspired me to do the same!
